Collection: Sacred Space

A corner of your home that is only yours. That holds your rituals, your objects, your breath. Creating a sacred space is not about perfection or performance. It is about having somewhere that calls you back to yourself every single day.

Start small. One candle. One object. One intention. Let it grow from there.

Questions about this collection

A sacred space does not need to be large, elaborate or perfect. It simply needs to feel like yours. Start with a small surface — a shelf, a windowsill, a corner of a table — and place on it the objects that feel meaningful to you. A candle, a crystal, an incense holder, something from nature, a photograph, a written intention.

What matters is that you return to it regularly. The practice of showing up — even for five minutes a day — is what makes a space sacred. The objects are simply anchors for your attention.

There are no rules. Your altar is a reflection of what is sacred to you right now. Common elements include a candle for light and intention, crystals chosen for their energy, incense to cleanse and mark the beginning of practice, natural objects like flowers, stones or feathers, and written intentions or prayers.

You might also include objects that carry personal meaning — a photograph, a piece of jewellery, a gift from someone you love. Change your altar with the seasons, the moon phases, or simply when it feels like time for something new.

The most common way to energetically cleanse a space is with smoke from white sage or Palo Santo. Light the sage or Palo Santo, allow it to smolder, then move through each room with intention, letting the smoke reach the corners. Open a window to allow stagnant energy to leave.

Selenite is also excellent for clearing energy from a space or from crystals. Simply place it in your sacred space or rest your crystals on it overnight. The Grace and Gaia Energy Cleansing Kit includes white sage, Palo Santo, selenite and a handmade tray to hold them all.

Amethyst brings calm and spiritual clarity to a space. Unakite supports integration and emotional balance, making it a grounding presence on any altar. Sandstone carries warmth and golden radiance, inviting joy and gratitude into your sacred corner. Copper spirals are particularly powerful in a sacred space because copper conducts and moves energy, keeping the space clear and active.

Choose crystals that you are drawn to rather than ones you feel you should have. Your instinct is always the best guide.

Anywhere you will actually return to. The most beautiful altar in the world does nothing if it is in a room you never go into. Choose a spot you pass every day — your bedroom, your desk, your kitchen windowsill. It should be somewhere that feels quiet and personal to you, even if the space around it is busy.

Many women find that having their sacred space in their bedroom means they can connect with it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. But there is no wrong answer. The best location is the one that calls you back.
